Help for You and Your Relationships

Marriage / Couples Therapy

Are you and your partner feeling disconnected?
Does it seem that all you do is fight? ...Or avoid each other?
Have you tried everything you can think of to make things better?

The most common concern that we hear is poor communication with one's partner. When communication isn't working, every part of the relationship suffers.

Hope For The Journey Counseling

Mind-Body Therapy

Do you feel stuck in the emotions from the past, and are unable to let go?
Have you talked about something over and over again, made commitments to change...and yet those old feelings, thoughts, and behaviors don't change?

If you are ready to move beyond the memories, emotions, and subconscious patterns that hold you back, Splankna Therapy can help. Splankna is a Mind-Body Therapy that can be a highly effective tool to add to traditional talk therapy...and it applies to nearly any psychological symptom, including anxiety, depression, and PTSD, just to name a few. It is helpful in Couples Therapy as well, as a means of healing past hurts in the relationship and increasing understanding and connection between partners.

Individual Therapy

Do you feel sad or anxious?
Do you feel like no one understands you?
Do you have a hard time sleeping because you are worrying?
You're not alone.

There are many reasons why people seek therapy. How many of these do you struggle with?

Anxiety

Depression

Self-esteem

Stress / Difficulty Coping

Divorce Recovery

Relationship Breakup

Personal and/or Spiritual Growth

Relationship issues

Family Issues

Grief and loss

Trauma

Talking to an impartial party can help you put things into perspective, sort through the fear and uncertainty of your situation, and figure out a more effective way of dealing with your struggles. Whatever your reason is for seeking therapy, we provide a safe place in which you can freely express your concerns, desires, and feelings.

We will help you explore the thoughts, feelings, and behaviors that are impacting your life. We will work together to identify what you would like to change, and we will help you accomplish your goals, find new strength and courage to grow, and make choices to pursue a healthier, more connected way of life.

Pre-Marital

Your Wedding day is one of the most important days of your life!

But what about all of the days that follow?
Are you ready for this?

Planning for your wedding is exciting! From choosing the rings, the flowers, picking the perfect music...there is so much to prepare for to make your big day romantic and memorable. It's exciting to think about building your life together, planning for the future, maybe starting a family, or perhaps blending two families. This is precisely why it is so important to make sure that you are ready "for better" or "for worse". Taking the step to join your lives together is a choice that has no guarantees.

The good news is that there is something you can do to make sure you and your fiancé are ready to face whatever comes your way. Statistics show that couples who participate in Pre-Marital Therapy have a 30% higher marital success rate than those who do not.

When you and your fiancé come in for Pre-Marital Therapy (whether already engaged, or contemplating becoming engaged), you each will complete an online "Relationship Assessment" that includes 55 relationship indicators to help identify your relationships unique strengths and potential growth areas. The results of the assessment are concrete and measurable and will provide you with an increased understanding of each other. This will open up discussions that have not been resolved, or maybe haven't yet presented themselves. We will work with you to learn effective communication tools, and how and when to implement those tools. These tools are vital to the ongoing health and growth of your relationship.

When you and your fiancé are willing to do the work before walking down the aisle, you can be confident that you are better prepared to pursue a lifetime of fulfilled promises and enduring love.

Cash, checks, and credit cards are all acceptable forms of payment. We accept most major credit cards, including Visa, Mastercard, Discover, and American Express. We also accept Health Saving Account cards (HSA), and Paypal.

*We do not accept Commercial Insurance, Medicaid, or Medicare at this time.

We are out-of-network providers for insurance at this time. If you wish to use your insurance, we are happy to provide you with an invoice/superbill that you can submit to your insurance provider, or your flexible spending account, for reimbursement. Prior to counseling, please contact your insurance to determine the costs that your insurance will cover.

Please note: When considering the use of your insurance for the reimbursement of services, you should be aware that most insurance companies require that you be given a diagnosis. Furthermore, if you have an insurance policy that is reviewed by one of the managed health care companies, they may want detailed information as to your personal history, drug/alcohol use, and additional information, plus the progress of treatment. Many times, health insurance companies may only authorize a certain number of sessions averaging ten or less.

Sliding scale fee may be available. We reserve a limited number of spaces in our caseloads for clients who are unable to afford to pay the full fee for services. We understand that therapy can be costly, and we feel it is important to provide affordable services to those seeking help. If that is you, feel free to ask about the possibility of a sliding scale fee arrangement.

*Ask about discounted rates for college students, active military, and clergy.
